Visiting Japan was always a gap in my culinary knowledge, everyone would say "I cant believe you have not visited Japan yet as a food writer" now I understand why...

I spent a week in Tokyo with Janice and Sue from and got a crash course in Japanese cuisine and etiquette. You know any visit to Tokyo is going to be all about great food, beautiful presentation, delicious sake and subtle integration of the seasons into the food. And it was all of that and more. However for me it was the unexpected joy from the people we met that will last forever.
