A great pizza base and so simple ! Today I visited the Neff NZ site at the Christchurch Food Show and met up with the fab Brigitte Kriehn who helped me make a great pizza and generously gave me the ingredients for her great pizza dough.
It’s so soft and forgiving as I swung it around and topped it pesto, ( not tomato ) sliced mushrooms and salami, adding a few olives and sliced capsicums and then some fresh mozzarella on top - then into one of her amazing Neff ovens on a pizza stone at 250degc and then ten minutes later look at the result !
About ten years ago she developed the recipe and into your cake mixer with dough hook throw in 4 cups flour 4 tsp sure bake instant yeast 1 tsp sugar 2 tsp salt 11/2 cups warm water 1/2 cup olive oil Let the dough be mixed for 7 mins then leave to prove for half an hour before breaking up for pizza base. If you don’t have a mixer just get busy using your hands to work it together in a large bowl. She also says you can throw everything in together - no yeast water sugar mixing beforehand ! Also she’s not fussy about the flour - regular supermarket flour is fine ! I can’t wait to get home to try it but just wanted you to have the recipe - thank you Neff NZ for making this possible !
